Meet Abigail

Me in a nutshell

(PS, I understand the flack that I am potentially exposing myself to in admitting the following behavior.)

I talked to my good friend Em today.

Me: “I started a blog! Guess what it’s about! It’s something I love to do when us girls get together.”

Em: “sleepovers?”(Insert the laugh and point here)

Me: “well, yes! But what do I love to do during the sleepovers?”

Em: “Ask questions…a lot of them…”

Me: “Exactly!! I created a place all about good questions and conversations.”

(End of me in a nutshell. *Cue applause*)

Time lapse: 20 min later…

(Em’s facebook post)

“Every girl loved the book ” Are you there god its me Margaret” when we were younger, now as young women we now have Dear Abigail please subscribe to Abby’s blog dearabigail.net and lets have some girl talk ♥ !!!”

I have some great friends. And I’m looking forward to meeting some more!

Now, I’m going to put on my serious face (think zoolander) and really give you a glimpse into what I’m about and what this site’s about.

(clear throat)

Dearest ladies,

We are in a society that tells us as women are valued when we are confident, strong, powerful, and independent. But we will soon find that in all our confidence, accomplishments, and competence, there is still a hole in our soul. Although we may feel weak to admit it, we aren’t designed to go through this world alone. We are designed for community and relationships. And this is what dearabigail is here for. To remind you how important community really is, by welcoming you into ours and by encouraging you to connect with those in your immediate life. All of us have an intrinsic need to belong somewhere, and I am extending my hand and inviting you to our community.

Because we can’t do it alone,
